It’s been awhile since I last baked.
Was sick for a long time this week as well. Still, I was hoping to bake some bread for the kids. So there, decided to bake these butter buns.
Recipe (makes 8 buns)
250g bread flour
1tbsp milk powder
40g caster sugar
1/4 tsp salt
100g warm milk
1 1/2 tsp instant yeast
Topping (mixed all together and set aside)
12g caster sugar
15g plain flour
Combine all the ingredients for the bread, except butter. Knead the dough gently and rub in the butter evenly until the dough turns elastic and smooth. Set aside to proof. Knock out the excess air. Divide the dough into 8 parts . Cover and proof for 20-25mins. Shape accordingly and continue to proof till the dough doubled in size.
Pipe the topping onto the bread and bake in preheated oven at 180 for 10-15mins.
